Had an amazing experience at Relling. Services were really good. The place was so serene and the people were so helpful. Food was good but it could have been better specially the evening snacks. Overall me and my family had a gala time. Rooms were clean and the space has some Euphoric feeling.
We visited the place with quiet in our minds. And we were greeted with forest flowers everywhere. The location of the property is one of the draws of the journey. If you want to unwind then look no further.

We spent two awesome nights at Tandrabong. The place is truly a remote place. You can enjoy nature at its fullest. The homestay owner Monalisa madam and her uncle was very very helpful. My wife left her glasses at the homestay. Madam made all the arrangement to take it to Kolkata and handover the same. We are very grateful to her. I recommend everyone to visit this place.
This place is a must visit destination in North Bengal. Nothing can beat the beauty of this beautiful valley along with the riverside view of Rangit river. The location of the place is surrounded with lofty mountains, dense forests, riverside view and much more. The best part of the location is the sight seeing as there are lot of places to visit nearby which can be viewed in 1 day as all of them are very close to each other. The trip should be planned as per the selected destination and their locations.Also can plan to take rest.

Most attractive part was their fur babies they accompanied us to the surroundings and never let us feel alone. God bless them. I would love to visit all other places of yours. Overall it was a fulfilling experience. The stay, staffs, ambience, location and the view from the rooms were excellent. Our Attic rooms were awesome. Especially the view from these rooms were breathtaking.The manager Mr. Sudarshan Chettri was extremely helpful. Each and every staff of the hotel was well behaved and very warm in their approach. Definitely a must visit. Will visit again.

It's a lifetime experience. Many including have stayed in star hotels in India abroad , there also you have been treated well, but here it's something different. The difference is the owner Francis. A simplest of simple person is a terrific host cook all in one. One day I will come again just for his food. Location is great. An idyllic village where two -three days stay would be great. A wonderful stay, if you come expecting fivestar facilities you will be disappointed. But if you come to enjoy nature you will enjoy. The owner Francis is a terrific host. Came from walk treated with fresh lime water. Food excellent. The ambience mind-blowing. His daughter crystal six years our local guide. The setting is lovely. Rare plants . All done so beautifully. Can easily say it's a life time experience.
Spent 2 nights at Flower Valley Homestay at Tandrabong. The place is between Lava and Kalimpong. It's a true offbeat place where you can get nature and peace. The homestay owner Ms. Monalisa Mukherjee and Mr. Prabir Mazumdar (Mama) are very nice persons. The food was very tasty and homely. You will like it surely. My suggestion to Rucksack is to include conveyance (pick-up , drop and sightseeing) into the package.

Clean and cozy rooms and hospitable and polite staff members. Albeit we were not lucky enough to see Kanchenjunga it should be visible from most rooms if the sky is clear. Very close to the Mall. And the hotel is located on the top of an old apartment so don't be disappointed by the outside appearance, it's worth it.

The resort was nice,but their staff's behaviour was very bad.

Everything was perfect expect lack of WiFi & in room television. As at these kind of places there is nothing to do after 6 in Eve so offering WiFi & television inside rooms is quite necessary so that guest don't get bored.

The rooms weren't great, so we're the bathrooms. The small pond water was dirty. Most importantly the food was not tasty. We had stomach infection after reaching there.

Our stay at the homestay was a truly remarkable one. The homestay offered a great value accommodation with delicious dishes served round the day coupled with warm reception from all the staff and the owner Ranabir-da himself. Ranabir-da's cooking skills and hospitality is exemplary.
Chose tandrabong for a 2 nights stay for my honeymoon . Its a very tiny settlement inside neora valley national park , in the lap of nature . The Homestay is very nice and pleasent in terms of location , hospitality , food . Prabir majumdar and francis sherpa are very cordial . Thanks rucksack for suggesting the place . Everything was good only the food quality needs to be improved.
It was a post retirement all ladies tour for my mother and her colleagues. All of them have replaced knees, so while selecting the location we had to be cautious. This place was perfect relaxing stay for them, it has a great view of the nearby river and adjoined jungle from the balcony itself. What they were particularly happy about was the cordial and caring behavior of the Host Ranabir Biswas and of his staffs. Want to thank Rucksack for such a great arrangement.
Review: Backdrop: We (a group of 5 friends) had decided unanimously on the place Homedara and we didn't regret it one bit. Location & View: The offbeat homestay was beautifully perched on a hill top with steep, winding tracks of mud and gravel roads leading our car to it. We were the sole inhabitants to the beautiful cottage. The pristine blue sky, the majestic Himalayas and the rock where we would spend hours added to the mystical place. Rooms: We booked two rooms which were aesthetically decorated with all the necessary amenities. There were huge windows which revealed views of the mountain range. Multiple points were present to help us charge our devices. Hospitality: Ashwin and his brother went out of their way to make us feel at home. We are very grateful to them. We were given delicious food at regular intervals and an amazing barbeque and bonfire was arranged for us (at an extra cost) under the glittering starry sky. The chicken preparation during dinner was out of the world. On top of all the meals, extra noodles were made for us as we were still hungry after the scrumptious breakfast of bread, omelettes, tea, etc. Fresh and clean towels & other necessary items like soaps and mosquito repellents were provided in each room. What to do there: We explored the trails both to and from the cottage. We walked for quite a while and found innumerable orange trees and beautiful scenic landscapes. The four-legged fur friends (Kale & Brown) gave us company throughout our walks. One can spend hours sitting on the perched rock and the makeshift balcony while sipping tea and looking at the beautiful view this place has to offer. Final Verdict: We would like to visit Homedara again with families this time.

It was a great experience for me, as i had wished. It's a lovely place away fom the hustle and bustle. I would suggest it only for those who wants solitude, and wants to be in midst of nature for a couple of days...

After checking reviews, I was also concerned about my staying in this resort. But, I have a completely different experience here. Staff were so helpful, hospitality was soo good.. I hadn't faced any issues regarding food, room, water and room services. Now coming to the room.. Just besides the lower Rangit river, the view from the balcony is next level. Hearing the sounds of the river for the whole day will give you another level peace.

The location and atmosphere is absolutely fabulous. The view from the homestay is like an end of the earth and meets the sky. Homestay owner is so so humble person. But according to me the food quality is not so good.
Our host Mr.Majumder was an amazing person, all our requests were very well taken care of... The property is well maintained,with all basic facilities in all the rooms... 24*7 hot water, sufficient bedding provide in all rooms... An amazing bonfire was arranged for us .. And plz don't miss the local wine... Ask Majumder da for it...

We have had a wonderful experience in our recent trip to Home Dara. Home Dara had a beautiful location. The homestay is value for money. The warm hospitality of homestay owners and the peaceful location make will compensate for the flaws. Location is beautiful. The cottages are very comfortable and have all the necessities. Nature lovers or forest lovers must visit this place for an thrilling night. But I must suggest not to go during monsoon and be aware from leeches but the best time to visit over there from October to April. Road condition is really pathetic and not for small cars and definitely not for the senior citizens. If you are in group(youths) that would be more fun. Bhaiya who stays over there was really helpfull. Last but not the least thank you rucksack for your suggestion about this place.
We visited Tandrabong this May. Early though it was, rains accompanied us through the time and gave us no opportunity to see the might Kanchenjungha! But that is not what this review is about. It is about the experience of staying at this quaint homestay. In one word, it was a fantastic experience. The place truly embodied a forest home wrapped in trees, flowers, birds, and insects. The evenings are especially beautiful. Hospitality is never a question with any of the hill folks since their innate warmth and love permeates their delightful behaviour. Food is as homely as you can get while on a tour and that comes as a relief when traveling with kids. Overall, wonderful! Considering the location, please remember to carry ample supply of candles, torches and power banks since electricity might not be a consistent factor.
We went to Tandrabong and I think I made the right decision choosing rucksack. Home stay was just beautiful and the local people are very good. You don't have to go anywhere just stay there and enjoy the peaceful moment of your life and I can tell that you want to go there again and again just to enjoy the environment of that place.

Stayed there with family including small kid. Quiet place in lap of nature. Host Ramesh Rai extremely helpful and arranged special meals for our child. Front rooms have good view from balcony. My child had good time with the turkeys they have in their farm. All rooms not having geyser so check for that prior. Highly recommended

Staying period at Relli : 26.11.21-- 27.11.21 ------------------------------- Stay was extremely well .. Ambiance undoubtedly very nice ... All staffs are very cordial and always in smiling face ... Suggestions : 1. So many trees are cut to make the cottage, that must be compensated to plant more siblings 2. Every guest/tourist party may be asked to plant one tree, hence this will be more memorable to the tourists and social responsibility also be served. 2. There are are so many plastic bottles and cans are piled in front of river facing cottages that must be avoided. It is better if it is plastic free zone .. 3. It is a good place for bird watching also. A stay in remote treehouse beside a great forest rich and cool ambience was one to remember. Most prolific, the early morning view around and the chirping of birds was quite blissful. Apart from that, the scenes of peacock beside a river was awesome too.Loved the hospitality overall! Great for a weekend outing or a detour if need be within Dooars!

বেড়ানোর গ্রুপ থেকে তথ্য পেয়ে বুক করেছিলাম হোম স্টে। দুদিন মজুয়া, দুদিন তন্দ্রাবং আর একদিন সীমানাদারা। তিনটে এক্কেবারে অফবিটের অফবিট। নিউ জলপাইগুড়ি স্টেশনে আমাদের দুটো ইনোভা অপেক্ষা করছিল। ঠিক হল আমরা অনেক চা বাগান, মিরিক, গোপালধারা টি এস্টেট দেখে মজুয়া পৌঁছাব। মিরিক লেকে বোটিং, চা বাগানের ফটোসেশন শেষে সন্ধ্যায় আমরা গন্তব্যে পৌঁছাতে পারলাম। মজুয়ার অরণ্যবাস এক কথায় অসাধারণ। দিনরাত অদ্ভুত পোকার শব্দ, সাথে ঝর্নার গর্জন।মানেভঞ্জন থেকে নিচে নামতে হয়। রাস্তার বেশিরভাগই ভাল। দুপাশে জংলী ফুলের অদ্ভুত রং ও রূপ। নিস্তব্ধতার মাঝে হেঁটে কতদূর যে গিয়েছিলাম কে জানে। সবাই জলে নেমে খুব মজা করলাম। কি ঠাণ্ডা জল! সকালে শীতের পোশাক না লাগলেও রাত্রে লেগেছিল। এখান থেকে সাইট সিয়িং গিয়েছিলাম চিত্রে, মেঘমা, টংলু আর টুমলিং। অসাধারণ। কিন্তু মেঘের কারণে সেদিন কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা অধরা রইল। হোম স্টে এবং খাওয়া দাওয়া বেশ ভালো। দুদিন কাটিয়ে রওনা দিলাম তন্দ্রাবংয়ের উদ্দেশ্যে। মজুয়া ও তন্দ্রাবং এর মাঝের দূরত্ব এতটাই যে আমাদের মনে হয়েছিল: "অফবিটের অফবিট, বেড়ে গেল হার্টবিট"। মজুয়া থেকে কিছুটা গিয়েই দেখা মিলল সেই বহু কাঙ্ক্ষিত কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার। প্রায় পুরো যাত্রাপথ আমাদের সাথেই ছিল সে। সেদিন অনেকগুলি শোভাযাত্রা বেরিয়েছিল আর কিছু সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের কারণে রাস্তায় খুব যানজট ছিল। লামাহাটা ইকো পার্কের সামনে গাড়ির লম্বা লাইন। আমরা আর তাই পার্কে যাইনি। তখনও অনেক পথ বাকি। জানালেন ড্রাইভার দাদা। পথে অনেক নাম না জানা ঝোরা আর নানা রকম ফুলের সমাহার দেখতে দেখতে পৌঁছে গেলাম তন্দ্রাবং। আমরা যেখানে ছিলাম সেখানে চারটে ঘর আর সবই শুধুই আমাদের দুদিনের জন্য। ঘরের চতুর্দিকে নাম না জানা ফুলের গাছ, পাতাবাহার, অজস্র প্রজাপতি, পাখি আর একটানা ঝিঁ ঝিঁ পোকার শব্দ। একদম নিস্তব্ধতার মাঝে আমাদের আড্ডা, সাথে চা, কফি, মুড়ি মাখা। সব মিলিয়ে টুর তো জমে ক্ষীর। সন্ধ্যেবেলায় এই হোম স্টের ওনার নিজের এলেন আমাদের সাথে কুশল বিনিময় করতে। খুব ভাল মহিলা। সদা হাস্যমুখ। উনি নিজে একটি পদ রান্না করেছিলেন বোর্ডার দের জন্য। খাবার সুস্বাদু। পরের দিন সকালে পায়ে পায়ে কিছুটা এগিয়ে গেলাম। হেঁটে প্রায় ২০ মিনিট গিয়ে পেলাম একটা খুব সুন্দর ঝর্ণা। সকলে সেখানে নেমে অনেক মজা করলাম আর ছবি তো তুলতেই হবে। FB তো অপেক্ষা করে আছে। সারাদিন বাচ্চাদের হৈ চৈ আর আমাদের সংসারের কচকচানি। এরপর বেরিয়ে পড়লাম ডেলোর দিকে। সেখানে আমার পুত্র প্যারা গ্লাইডিং করল। তারপর পার্কের মধ্যে থেকে কাঞ্চনের বুকে সূর্যাস্ত দেখেতে দেখতে সন্ধ্যা হয়ে গেল। এভাবেই কেটে গেল পুরো দিন। পরদিন ভোরবেলা ৪ টের সময় গাড়ি এল। যাওয়া হল সূর্যোদয় দেখতে রিশপ থেকে। রাতের অন্ধকার থাকতেই আমরা অপেক্ষা করছিলাম। ওখানে আর কেউ ছিল না। কিছুক্ষণ পর শুরু হল কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার গায়ে রঙের খেলা। ধীরে ধীরে সোনার বর্ণ ঘুমন্ত বুদ্ধ আমাদের মোহিত করে দিল। এত সুন্দর তা ভাষায় প্রকাশ অসম্ভব। যাহোক তারপর ফিরে আসার পর চা সহযোগে এক প্রস্থ গল্পের পর ব্যাগ গুছিয়ে জলখাবার খেয়ে ১১.৩০ টা নাগাদ রওনা দিলাম সীমানাদারার পথে। এখানেও পথের বাঁকে বাঁকে ফুল আর ঝর্ণা। এই পথের শুরুতে শুধু নিস্তব্ধতার মাঝে আমাদের দুটো গাড়ি। বন্য গন্ধ, জলের কলকল ছলছল আর পোকার একটানা ডাক। একটা জায়গায় শুনতে পেলাম ঘণ্টার টানা শব্দ। কোথাও লোকালয় নেই। একটু অবাক হয়ে সেটা বাকিদের জানালাম। শুনে ড্রাইভার দাদা বললেন এটা একটা পোকার শব্দ। ছোটো পাখির মত দেখতে হয়। নেপালীতে এদের বলে ঝাউকির। আর এক জায়গায় এই শব্দ শুনলাম। এদিনের যাত্রা ২ ঘণ্টায় শেষ। পৌঁছালাম সীমানাদারা। হোম স্টেতে ঢোকার পথটি খুব সুন্দর। রাস্তার দুধারে ঝাউ গাছের সারি। এর মাঝে মাঝে বাহারি ফুল ফুটে উঠেছে। কসমস এর ঝোপ। একজন মহিলা ও একজন পুরুষ আমাদের উত্তরীয় দিয়ে উষ্ণ অভ্যর্থনা জানালেন। এখানেও কাঠের বাড়ি। সবটাই প্রকৃতি। এরপর দুপুরের খাবারের পর একটু বিশ্রাম নিয়ে আবার হেঁটে এদিক ওদিক করলাম। পাশেই ছিল একটা মাঠ। ছেলেরা ফুটবল খেলছিল। আমাদের ছেলেরাও সেখানে পৌঁছে গেল। আর আমরা দেখতে লাগলাম পাহাড়ের কোলে সূর্যাস্ত। সেই মায়াবী মুহূর্তগুলো ক্যামেরবন্দী করলাম। রাত্রিবেলায় উল্টো দিকের পাহাড়ে হাজার হাজার আলোর জোনাকি জলে উঠল। কি অপরূপ লাগছিল। উদাস মনে ভাবলাম আমাদের বেড়ানোর দিনও শেষ। পরের দিনই ট্রেন। যাই হোক সেদিন রাত থেকেই সবার আলোচ্য বিষয় আমাদের পরবর্তী গন্তব্য। এই হোম স্টে আর খাওয়া দাওয়াও বেশ ভাল। যাহোক এবারের মত পাহাড়কে বিদায় দিতেই হবে।সকালে ব্রেকফাস্ট সেরে আমরা নিউ জলপাইগুড়ির দিকে অগ্রসর হলাম। তিস্তায় রাফটিং আজ তো করতেই হবে। ব্যাস। নেমে পড়লাম। টিকিট কেটে তৈরি। সেদিন দশমী হওয়ায় বোট কিছু কম ছিল। তাই অপেক্ষা করতে হল। একটা গাড়ি আমাদের নিয়ে গেল নদীর পাড়ে। সেই রাস্তা পুরো পাথুরে আর বিপজ্জনক। মনে হচ্ছিল গাড়িটা উল্টেই যাবে। দুরু দুরু বুকে পৌঁছালাম নদীর পাড়ে। তারপর বোট। বড় বড় ঢেউয়ে যখন বোট ঘুরছিল, মাথার ওপর দিয়ে জল যাচ্ছিল, তখন ভয় আর উত্তেজনায় আমরা কাঁপছিলাম আর ভগবানকে স্মরণ করছিলাম। ভালোয় ভালোয় জল থেকে উঠে সেই ভয়াবহ রাস্তা দিয়ে গাড়িতে উঠে আবার আমাদের গাড়ির কাছে এলাম। এখানে আমাদের ঘণ্টা তিনেক সময় লেগেছিল। আর একটা কথা; এখানে সেই ঘণ্টার টানা শব্দ শুনেছি আমরা। এত গাড়ির আওয়াজের মাঝেও এই শব্দ বন্ধ হয়নি। ৪ টের সময় এক রেস্তোরাঁয় খেয়ে আমরা স্টেশনে পৌঁছালাম ঠিক ৬ টায়। আমার গল্পটি ফুরোলো ন'টে গাছটি মুরোলো......

বেড়ানোর গ্রুপ থেকে তথ্য পেয়ে বুক করেছিলাম হোম স্টে। দুদিন মজুয়া, দুদিন তন্দ্রাবং আর একদিন সীমানাদারা। তিনটে এক্কেবারে অফবিটের অফবিট। নিউ জলপাইগুড়ি স্টেশনে আমাদের দুটো ইনোভা অপেক্ষা করছিল। ঠিক হল আমরা অনেক চা বাগান, মিরিক, গোপালধারা টি এস্টেট দেখে মজুয়া পৌঁছাব। মিরিক লেকে বোটিং, চা বাগানের ফটোসেশন শেষে সন্ধ্যায় আমরা গন্তব্যে পৌঁছাতে পারলাম। মজুয়ার অরণ্যবাস এক কথায় অসাধারণ। দিনরাত অদ্ভুত পোকার শব্দ, সাথে ঝর্নার গর্জন।মানেভঞ্জন থেকে নিচে নামতে হয়। রাস্তার বেশিরভাগই ভাল। দুপাশে জংলী ফুলের অদ্ভুত রং ও রূপ। নিস্তব্ধতার মাঝে হেঁটে কতদূর যে গিয়েছিলাম কে জানে। সবাই জলে নেমে খুব মজা করলাম। কি ঠাণ্ডা জল! সকালে শীতের পোশাক না লাগলেও রাত্রে লেগেছিল। এখান থেকে সাইট সিয়িং গিয়েছিলাম চিত্রে, মেঘমা, টংলু আর টুমলিং। অসাধারণ। কিন্তু মেঘের কারণে সেদিন কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা অধরা রইল। হোম স্টে এবং খাওয়া দাওয়া বেশ ভালো। দুদিন কাটিয়ে রওনা দিলাম তন্দ্রাবংয়ের উদ্দেশ্যে। মজুয়া ও তন্দ্রাবং এর মাঝের দূরত্ব এতটাই যে আমাদের মনে হয়েছিল: "অফবিটের অফবিট, বেড়ে গেল হার্টবিট"। মজুয়া থেকে কিছুটা গিয়েই দেখা মিলল সেই বহু কাঙ্ক্ষিত কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার। প্রায় পুরো যাত্রাপথ আমাদের সাথেই ছিল সে। সেদিন অনেকগুলি শোভাযাত্রা বেরিয়েছিল আর কিছু সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের কারণে রাস্তায় খুব যানজট ছিল। লামাহাটা ইকো পার্কের সামনে গাড়ির লম্বা লাইন। আমরা আর তাই পার্কে যাইনি। তখনও অনেক পথ বাকি। জানালেন ড্রাইভার দাদা। পথে অনেক নাম না জানা ঝোরা আর নানা রকম ফুলের সমাহার দেখতে দেখতে পৌঁছে গেলাম তন্দ্রাবং। আমরা যেখানে ছিলাম সেখানে চারটে ঘর আর সবই শুধুই আমাদের দুদিনের জন্য। ঘরের চতুর্দিকে নাম না জানা ফুলের গাছ, পাতাবাহার, অজস্র প্রজাপতি, পাখি আর একটানা ঝিঁ ঝিঁ পোকার শব্দ। একদম নিস্তব্ধতার মাঝে আমাদের আড্ডা, সাথে চা, কফি, মুড়ি মাখা। সব মিলিয়ে টুর তো জমে ক্ষীর। সন্ধ্যেবেলায় এই হোম স্টের ওনার নিজের এলেন আমাদের সাথে কুশল বিনিময় করতে। খুব ভাল মহিলা। সদা হাস্যমুখ। উনি নিজে একটি পদ রান্না করেছিলেন বোর্ডার দের জন্য। খাবার সুস্বাদু। পরের দিন সকালে পায়ে পায়ে কিছুটা এগিয়ে গেলাম। হেঁটে প্রায় ২০ মিনিট গিয়ে পেলাম একটা খুব সুন্দর ঝর্ণা। সকলে সেখানে নেমে অনেক মজা করলাম আর ছবি তো তুলতেই হবে। FB তো অপেক্ষা করে আছে। সারাদিন বাচ্চাদের হৈ চৈ আর আমাদের সংসারের কচকচানি। এরপর বেরিয়ে পড়লাম ডেলোর দিকে। সেখানে আমার পুত্র প্যারা গ্লাইডিং করল। তারপর পার্কের মধ্যে থেকে কাঞ্চনের বুকে সূর্যাস্ত দেখেতে দেখতে সন্ধ্যা হয়ে গেল। এভাবেই কেটে গেল পুরো দিন। পরদিন ভোরবেলা ৪ টের সময় গাড়ি এল। যাওয়া হল সূর্যোদয় দেখতে রিশপ থেকে। রাতের অন্ধকার থাকতেই আমরা অপেক্ষা করছিলাম। ওখানে আর কেউ ছিল না। কিছুক্ষণ পর শুরু হল কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার গায়ে রঙের খেলা। ধীরে ধীরে সোনার বর্ণ ঘুমন্ত বুদ্ধ আমাদের মোহিত করে দিল। এত সুন্দর তা ভাষায় প্রকাশ অসম্ভব। যাহোক তারপর ফিরে আসার পর চা সহযোগে এক প্রস্থ গল্পের পর ব্যাগ গুছিয়ে জলখাবার খেয়ে ১১.৩০ টা নাগাদ রওনা দিলাম সীমানাদারার পথে। এখানেও পথের বাঁকে বাঁকে ফুল আর ঝর্ণা। এই পথের শুরুতে শুধু নিস্তব্ধতার মাঝে আমাদের দুটো গাড়ি। বন্য গন্ধ, জলের কলকল ছলছল আর পোকার একটানা ডাক। একটা জায়গায় শুনতে পেলাম ঘণ্টার টানা শব্দ। কোথাও লোকালয় নেই। একটু অবাক হয়ে সেটা বাকিদের জানালাম। শুনে ড্রাইভার দাদা বললেন এটা একটা পোকার শব্দ। ছোটো পাখির মত দেখতে হয়। নেপালীতে এদের বলে ঝাউকির। আর এক জায়গায় এই শব্দ শুনলাম। এদিনের যাত্রা ২ ঘণ্টায় শেষ। পৌঁছালাম সীমানাদারা। হোম স্টেতে ঢোকার পথটি খুব সুন্দর। রাস্তার দুধারে ঝাউ গাছের সারি। এর মাঝে মাঝে বাহারি ফুল ফুটে উঠেছে। কসমস এর ঝোপ। একজন মহিলা ও একজন পুরুষ আমাদের উত্তরীয় দিয়ে উষ্ণ অভ্যর্থনা জানালেন। এখানেও কাঠের বাড়ি। সবটাই প্রকৃতি। এরপর দুপুরের খাবারের পর একটু বিশ্রাম নিয়ে আবার হেঁটে এদিক ওদিক করলাম। পাশেই ছিল একটা মাঠ। ছেলেরা ফুটবল খেলছিল। আমাদের ছেলেরাও সেখানে পৌঁছে গেল। আর আমরা দেখতে লাগলাম পাহাড়ের কোলে সূর্যাস্ত। সেই মায়াবী মুহূর্তগুলো ক্যামেরবন্দী করলাম। রাত্রিবেলায় উল্টো দিকের পাহাড়ে হাজার হাজার আলোর জোনাকি জলে উঠল। কি অপরূপ লাগছিল। উদাস মনে ভাবলাম আমাদের বেড়ানোর দিনও শেষ। পরের দিনই ট্রেন। যাই হোক সেদিন রাত থেকেই সবার আলোচ্য বিষয় আমাদের পরবর্তী গন্তব্য। এই হোম স্টে আর খাওয়া দাওয়াও বেশ ভাল। যাহোক এবারের মত পাহাড়কে বিদায় দিতেই হবে।সকালে ব্রেকফাস্ট সেরে আমরা নিউ জলপাইগুড়ির দিকে অগ্রসর হলাম। তিস্তায় রাফটিং আজ তো করতেই হবে। ব্যাস। নেমে পড়লাম। টিকিট কেটে তৈরি। সেদিন দশমী হওয়ায় বোট কিছু কম ছিল। তাই অপেক্ষা করতে হল। একটা গাড়ি আমাদের নিয়ে গেল নদীর পাড়ে। সেই রাস্তা পুরো পাথুরে আর বিপজ্জনক। মনে হচ্ছিল গাড়িটা উল্টেই যাবে। দুরু দুরু বুকে পৌঁছালাম নদীর পাড়ে। তারপর বোট। বড় বড় ঢেউয়ে যখন বোট ঘুরছিল, মাথার ওপর দিয়ে জল যাচ্ছিল, তখন ভয় আর উত্তেজনায় আমরা কাঁপছিলাম আর ভগবানকে স্মরণ করছিলাম। ভালোয় ভালোয় জল থেকে উঠে সেই ভয়াবহ রাস্তা দিয়ে গাড়িতে উঠে আবার আমাদের গাড়ির কাছে এলাম। এখানে আমাদের ঘণ্টা তিনেক সময় লেগেছিল। আর একটা কথা; এখানে সেই ঘণ্টার টানা শব্দ শুনেছি আমরা। এত গাড়ির আওয়াজের মাঝেও এই শব্দ বন্ধ হয়নি। ৪ টের সময় এক রেস্তোরাঁয় খেয়ে আমরা স্টেশনে পৌঁছালাম ঠিক ৬ টায়। আমার গল্পটি ফুরোলো ন'টে গাছটি মুরোলো......
The stay experience in Tendrabong was very good .. Inspite of very bad weather the resort staffs had done their best, to make our stay delightful.. Their support is truly appreciated.... we had 3 nights stay and because of the heavy shower power was not available the entire time, hence a little suggestion that, if possible arrange 1 inverter or small hand driven generator for such unusual circumstances.. Rooms are pretty good and matched our expectations... Overall it was a good stay... Thank you Rucksack !!

It should be mentioned there bcs many people travel with senior citizens for them it will be tough if they suddenly faced this thing after reaching there.. But apart from this I will give 5/5 for everything..Nd will suggest everyone to visit at least once. Keep Growing Rucksack ❤

Recently we have visited KharkaValley for our 8th Love Anniversary and we booked it through Rucksack. It was a lovely experience. We had a very good time over there and the hospitality was awesome. The local host Ramesh was very polite, sweet and helpfull.

We visited Milandhara recently , with no other objective than to feel the nature from its closest..And the beauty of monsoon and freshness of greenery welcomed us with open heart. It was a refreshing and recharging stay throughout with the clouds playing hide and seek with the mountains. heavily recommended for people who likes to avoid crowd

We had a very nice experience in both Simanadara and Tandrabong in the district of Kalimpong. It took four hours to reach Simanadara from New Jalpaiguri station by car on 27th April. I went with my mother,uncle and aunt who were all senior citizens. The car dropped us right at the homestay, despite its rather obscure location in the lap of mountains. Rajesh bhaia welcomed us with warmth in a special manner. Next day we reached Tandrabong. It took one hour to reach Tandrabong from Simanadara. We were amazed by the beauty, tranquility and serenity of the place and were overwhelmed by the warm hospitality of them. In both the homestays the tidyness of the rooms and decoration of flowering plants left an indelible impression on our minds.

Visited Darjeeling just a few days ago. Their hotel was superb, very near to Mall. Enjoyed nice panoramic view from hotel. Nice staffs. You will enjoy their good hospitality. They are also maintaining strict protocol to restrict from COVID19.
Simanadara--A very serene place with simple yet eye-catching spacious cottages and the staff was very well-behaved who served us some tasty yet not-rich dishes but special mention needed for Momos-too delicious!!!

Just had a recent trip on 28 March 2021. The place is very unhygienic. Kitchen and bedroom infested with house fly. First time experienced housefly in a dirty homestay. Bathroom is also very small and lacking basic amenity. Not recommend at all.
We completed a trip to Tandrabong this Sunday with Rucksack. The place is super awesome. The homestay was similarly beautiful in every aspect & we are overwhelmed with the kind hospitality that the homestay owners & the driver provided in our 2night stay. The foods served was too yummy & all our needs were taken care of very politely. We were a group of 5 couples and we had a really good time spending there. It was worth planning the trip with Rucksack. Will recommend Rucksack as we had a wonderful experience. Hope to plan a new destination with Rucksack again soon. Just visited Kharkha Valley. Spellbounding experience I had. Amazing hospitality. The host is so humble and caring. A perfect destination if you love living in nature. You can't expect luxury resort facilities as the place is an offbeat one. The staff and the kitchen staff do their best to make your days memorable ❤️

It was four days of complete bliss in a deep valley by River Rangit. The resort is surrounded by high mountains on all sides and standing amidst it you can feel the glory of nature. Nights in November are chilly but days are warm and you can enjoy an entire day at the resort walking through it and wading through the cool water of the Rangit. The service is pretty good but can be even better. The resort can be made more attractive with organic farms, beautiful gardens and paved roads leading to the swimming pool as there are a res at their disposal. All the same it's a place worth visiting. You will come back refreshed and rejuvenated.

It is a lovely cosy cottage with a river flowing beside it. The people are so friendly and warm that you find a home away from home. The food is awesome and you will never be able to finish it. The ambience is great and majority of the things are hand made which makes the place so special.. the hospitality of a 5 star hotel pales in comparison to what we experience when we visit Relli...must visit♥️♥️
If any travellers wants to spend some quality time on the cradle of nature, this is THE PLACE. A picturesque place very near Kalimpong nestled between a small brook on one side. Add with it the wonderful hospitality. An highly knowledgeable of the local area. Also add to it a wonderful cook. We spend wonderful time there. We left the place feeling sorry that why didn't we spend more time there. I personally would highly recommend this place.
Conveniently one of the best hotels i have stayed thus far. Just 3 minutes away from The Mall. Cozy wooden interiors of the room, the food, nothing could ever go wrong with this hotel. Majestic Kanchenjunga view from the window. Worth staying !

We got snow fall at zuluk but due to that we could not reach till nathang n kupup as heavy fog n snowfall but we reached till thambi which is also a great viewpoint. This was 1st snowfall of this season so we are lucky enough to get the same. Driver given to us was a fantastic guide cum driver. Overall in a nutshell it was a great n very good organized trip planned by Rucksack and made our trip really memorable. ..will update few snaps n tag Rucksack for sure...

We group of 16 friends went to Relli on March 2 and had a fantastic time ...it was a complete rejuvenation experience ..the location / Place is awesome ...Away from busy City Life ..Quite ...Peaceful environment ...has a Swimming Pool , early morning breakfast to late in the evening Dinner ...Gota , Matla Undhiyu , Pauk , Tea , Fruits and Rajwadi Khidchi and Chaas ...etc etc ..All well prepared , Tasty and served with lots of love ..Hospitality was great ...we spent the whole day without getting bored and had not a single dull moment ...
Just 2 mins walk from the Mall, Picturesque kanchenjunga view from the window. Very good hospitality, safe, hygenic and budget friendly.. staffs are very co-operative.. food is also good comparing other hotels.. I recommend tis hotel for all Darjeeling visitors.. Amazing wooden suit and restaurant in scenery view.. Go for it and u will like it for sure..
Excellent place to visit with your family and friends. The ambiance is just awesome. There is a river just in front of the cottage and just after the river bed, the jungle starts. And if your are lucky enough you can have a glimpse of elephants and rhinos, who come to drink water from the river, from your balcony. The food is also excellent. The vegetables are organic and the food is like homemade. The serenity is so peaceful. I would suggest everybody to visit there at least once.
A real beautiful place to enjoy the solitude. The flowing water adds the music to the place. The staff and owner is very courteous, warm and friendly! I would recommend this place to all!
Very good hotel , wonderful service and a breathtaking view of the Kanchenjunga range from the room. The service was one of the best I have ever experienced - very warm, courteous and helpful staff. This hotel is equipped with a lift too, which is a big plus in the hilly terrain of Darjeeling, and is also suitable for senior citizens.
It’s a wonderful place, definitely worth staying for 2 to 3 days. It’s owned by a lovely couple. The Aritar lake flows beside the homestay and adds to the beauty of the place. The rates are very reasonable in comparison to the comfort they provide here. The forest ambiance definitely multiplies the pleasure and enjoyment. Above all, the warm and polite hospitality of the couple will compel you to visit again. The sweetness of the place is bound to linger for years and I can bet on that. Cheers!!!
Had a great fun at the Farm. Location is in center of Tea garden and beside of River and its quite peaceful plus entertaining. There are various adventure and fun stuff at the place. Also it has swimming pool 🏊 to chill out. If you want to have good time with family and friends its one of the best place. The place is reasonable and cost efficient.

The perfect place for me to stay during my trip to Darjeeling. 2 minutes and you'll find yourself at the famous Darjeeling Mall. There is an upstairs restaurant and also room service available. The view from the room showcased the city and snowy mountain ranges. Highly recommend staying here !

The hotel is truly awesome. Best view of kunchanjunga and darjeeling city from top as this hotel has a lounge that covers the beauty of Darjeeling. The rooms are well furnished, the staffs are very sincere in their work, there was an excellent atmosphere of relaxation in that hotel. We even had a short live musical program by one of the staffs at night. In short, we were extremely pleased by the services provided by the hotel.

Nice and cosy hotel. Excellent service staff. Very hospitable people. On reaching the hotel building, first was disappointing to see the entry in to the regular apartment. The elevator leads to the 5th floor and the complete story changes. Welcome with a corteous smile and quick bell service gets your baggage. The rooms are fancy and the best to choose is the Attic.
Recently visited tandrabong & it was mind blowing . A must visit place . thank you rucksack for the hospitality .
The place lets you see the town of pedong and sikkim like no other places i have been to before. The food was delicious the service was great.staffs are well behaved and friendly.
We have taken Attick room which four people can accommodate with awesome Darjeeling view. Well behaved and friendly staff. Good food and price also also on the higher side. The only trouble is we will not get hot water in the early morning. They will schedule when we will get hot water. All together good

The hotel is fantastic. The room that we got was 205 and it had a spectacular view of Mount Kanchendzonga. The restaurant is too good, the staff were very nice and well behaved. The food is very homely and tasty. The manger was very courteous and well mannered. Must stay if you want good view from room at Darjeeling.

This cottage itself a visiting spot.you can spend your whole tour only by staying here. Ambiance is awesome and from your room/balcony you can directly see the river and if you are lucky you can get to see animals which comes to drink water from the river.Cottage is in mid of jungle where we saw bison which came closer to the fence.and I want to mention about the food and services explicitly.the cook(Tusu Boudi) made tasty food which were like home made .
An awesome place to stay. Good hospitality, polite staff members, the day time care taker Sudarshan and the whole day staff member from Lamahatta is an awesome resource to the team of staff. The hotel has awesome view. If I go by the window what I saw, the Kanchanjangha view is better than tiger hill.
last weekend I had a memorable experience at Relli, I just called up Rucksack and asked for a place like nowhere, wanted a different experience. Isolation, calm, out side city, inside jungle between hills and near river. Got it exactly I wanted. The place is so beautiful that we wanted to extend our trip. you jump off from the balcony and drown river. We highly recommend Rucksack for their services and recommendations.

Very good hotel at Darjeeling. Centrally located. Rooms are good and Kanchenjunga visible from some rooms and dining hall. Staff and Manager's behaviour were fantastic.Need to improve complementary breakfast menu. Tourist can enjoy fantastic darjeeling city view while have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Rucksack is a fraud and irresponsible tour company. The rooms that we were promised were not given to us. Morever, we wsre made to pay the full amount even though we did not stay at simanadara. Rucksack did not pick up our call when we wanted to enquire about this. Horrible experience.Wasted a huge amount of money.

They provide blowers to tolerate the sub zero temperature but you can feel unease of not having proper supply of oxygen. One night stay is fine here. More than that is not advised. Excellent Lodge for staying with a lots of scenic beauty. Well mentioned and clean. Sounded by by forest. Melodious sounds of bird, greenery, the beauty of nature. Staff members are very helpful and attentive. Food quality is also very good. Value for money.
Takdah Heritage Bunglaow is a home stay away from home...and better.. Set amidst the nature with green all around it gives one a peace of mind and helps to relax from the daily fast life that one encounters. The owner is a thorough gentleman and tries to ensure his guests are happy. The food quality..starting from bed tea to dinner is mouth watering.been there on 6th and 7th and planning to go again asapMr. Lepcha can arrange all amenities like car, food joints( if necessary), to help help ypu wander in lamahatta, tinchule, chota mangoa, gumba dara etc.
Location was nice but far from the man city. All the services were good. Food was tasty. Staff was good and very cooperative. Overall 5/5 for the entire stay
Nice place to stay in the lap of mother nature... The most peaceful place in the world... The smell of the wood, the chirping of the bird at dawn, the night sky full of numerous stars are awesome.
It was a lovely experience staying at Jaldapara. I would say it`s the only private place where you will feel that you are inside the forest. Apart from Hollong Bungalow no other resorts will give you such feeling. In fact like Hollong there is chance to spot animals from the resort. We did not have that luck though but the Jaldapara core safari was just awesome and we were lucky to spot Rhinos, Bisons, Elephants, Peacocks and Deers. I am thankful to the owners of the property for flawlessly arranging Transportation and Safari for us. He, understands how guiding/coaching/ mentoring leads to success. Because of his guidance only we did not have to face any difficulty during our stay. In fact he is very open to feedback and always tries to work on it. Overall, the trip was Superhit.
Fabulous place to spend some quality time with your family and friends. The owner of this heritage bungalow Mr Sovit Lepcha ia a nice guy and very helpful. Food is very good and rooms are OK.
This cottage is very beautiful and relaxing. The foods are so delicious here. Enjoy the scenic view of the Torsa river with a cup of hot coffee lying on the armchair. You can easily see peacocks, elephants and rhino from the cottage.

We visited Takdah in September, 2019. We stayed at Heritage Bungalow. The place is really beautiful... also the food and host. As we visited this place in monsoon...so we got the chance to enjoy the foggy and cloudy weather also. The bungalow is well decorated and the basic structure of British period is well maintained. Wish to visit there again.
Situated at a beautiful place at the outskirt of Chilapata Forest. View from here is beautiful. A small stream flows by. You can enjoy a river bath. You can see various kinds of birds here. If you are not that much unlucky, you will find peacocks roaming around. Quality food is delivered here. If you want to spend a day by forest in calm and peaceful atmosphere, you should choose the resort. If you want to enjoy a day out, you also should choose the resort.

Great place to visit with family and friends. Would highly recommend for any family looking for a farm experience.The owner Mr Saurav is extremely hospitable and the staffs were kind and courteous ready to help out and the food was homely. They gave us excellent tea when we arrived.The view was incredible , there wasn't anything we didn't like. This was our first time in Relling Rangeet but it won't be our last. Thank you Saurav for making our stay wonderful.

I had a wonderful experience of good food, best served tea, and an experience of a lifetime. Why go to Switzerland to experience what Relli holds for you? Go once and you will feel like going again. The farm is located beside a small nook, which is the part of the main river . It maintains a class of its own. Extremely hospitable helpers around. Undoubtedly, the owners have kept authenticity alive amidst pure nature. You will get drivers who are extremely polite and will take you to Darjeeling and other places from there. Its a one stop for all young and old. Away from Darjeeling and closer to nature, our stay was made a real wholehearted fun experience. The last day experience of tea pluckers completed the trip for us with farm animals on one side and the nook on the other side. Amazing experience. Go once to experience, for then you will realise what you would have otherwise missed. Grab the opportinity for your next holiday destination. And you will never regret for not going anywhere else. We visited Simanadara with Rucksack in the month of June. It was amazing experience to stay at Homestay covered with Himalayan range. We are really impressed with the behavior and hospitality of the homestay owner and the staffs. They have arranged a river trekking, Fishing and bathing at river, campfire, prepared a special fish cuisine dish named Bamboo fish near the river Rongpo. On the way to Rongpo, we visited Ranibon dense forest and just loved the aroma of natural beauty, the sound of silence . Even we planned for side tour like Deloe hills, Silarygaon and it was successful . Homestay owner has arranged it for us. It was really a good experience for us . Thanks Rucksack.

While it was raining at Milon Dara, we could not see the mighty Himalayan range but could feel what can be seen from there. Both the places are home stay. I feel these are more then home stay. Freshly prepared food with mostly fresh organic vegetables from their own garden. The people are more than helping type. Other than the package food, they happily prepared snacks like chicken mono etc whatever we had ordered. Tandrabong is a hamlet where clan of Lepchas stay. The Lepcha king, during 1850 donated the land for them to start a settlement. The oldest house, built during 1852, still stands & joint family stays there. All the settlers are relatives & today the population, as informed to us, is around 150. The land is v fertile & give 4 crops/year. It is a valley deep inside a forest where sun & cloud play hide & seek. A great place to enjoy ,relax & to be a part of Lepcha family. Here the whole family works. Thanks Rucksack We have decided that like last year, we will hv our vacation through Rucksack only. Thanks again.

Very nice and calm and quiet place. You can stay here for some days. Enjoy the beautiful jungle. Nearest places are jayanti river,buxa fort. Car safari is available at the lodge. People can expedite the dense Forrest in car safari.

Thanks to Rucksack team for arranging such a memorable trip for us at Milandara, a totally undisturbed offbeat place in upper pedong with a 340degree view of The Himalayas. We were lucky enough to have an amazing view of Mt. Kanchenjunga from our room. Approximately 20 bird species including black bulbul, blue fronted red start and many rare species were captured in our DSLR).Wat more can we expect!!! Thanks 🙏 a lot to the homestay owner and his family for making our stay so comfortable and homely. We are surely going to miss this place after going back. Wish to come here again.

This is a good place for a couple of days. This is an offbeat place with less people around. Nothing much to see around if not hiring a car. Good to stay with a good view of Kanchenjunga range decorated with colorful gardens around😋
Newly established spacious rooms and good view of the river from the rooms. They have a big swimming pool, could be of good use, maintenance needed again. Food available is homely. Drinks available is good too. A decent getaway for the weekend with family or friends. The resort has a good amount of space which could be utilized well, needs a little bit grooming.

One of the best offbeat location in hill areas of bengal.Built on a hill top offering almost 360 view of snow capped mountains of mighty himalayas.a little away frm the bazar area with complete solitude & silence.also offering the best food possible in this location. Must have a visit in oct-feb for a breathtaking view.cost is reasonable.rooms are well decorated & spacious.the main attraction is its rooftop which can make u spend time with your loved ones for hours.
What we thought would be a memorable homestay experience, turned out to be a nightmare for us. Though we chose Lulagram first, by their recommendation we selected Simanadara. We have 3.5 year old kid and asked them several times whether they could arrange for a room heater as they don’t have fire place in the room. They assured us that they will arrange for at least one as We told them we will only book if they can arrange room heater. The shock started from the day we reached NJP. Simanadara is 26 kms from Kalimpong whereas the website says 15 kms. When we reached, we found that there was no room heater. When we called rucksack, the person said they couldn’t arrange it and it was our fault that we didn’t ask them that they couldn’t arrange. We were stunned by their rude behaviour. When we said that we will stay for one day and not two, the homestay owner said that we have to pay for two days as the advance payment was entirely pocketed by Rucksack. After a lot of request they gave us some discount. However the cost cake to close to 2000 rs per day per person. And on the top of that, we had to shell out 8200 rs for to and fro journey. For running hot water, it is just half bucket of them when you ask for it. Coming to the view, it has unhindered view of mountains in front but Kanchandzonga is not visible even on a clear day because one can not see it from there. All the photographs are bogus on the website and in the name of river, you can see in distance buildings of pharmaceutical factories. The night was unbearable as it was extremely cold even inside the room. So better avoid in winter if you have kids. However, the owner Rajesh was a very cooperative guy and he even mentioned that we were the third party from Rucksack who were given false promises. Better avoid during winter and avoid Rucksack as they are best in giving false promises. We traveled on 5th January 2019.
Great location and The property is huge and so green. The owner guided us perfectly till we reached the homestay .There was a campfire in the evening and the food served was amazing .It was a delightful experience to hear the sounds of the river and the birds chirping. The staffs were helpful and friendly.If you are looking for calm and serenity, this is the place one should visit

It is a beautiful property with a sprawling bungalow, well maintained wooden floors and ceiling, lavishly built on a deep pine forested hill. The rooms are spacious, each with a sitting area and large bathroom and a fireplace that works. Walk down 1km to the market if you wish or stroll on the path into the woods just behind the bungalow, or laze under the umbrella in the lawn with the dogs--Time stands still here! Lacking: dressing mirror, room heater and electric kettle with tea bagswhich should be complimentary in such an exclusive place. There is only one staff who does everything, which makes service slow

We just visited Simanadara with our friends group. The experience was amazing. Heart warming hospitality by the home stay host Rajesh ji. Breath taking views of himalays, healthy homemade food and all the amenities - 24 hrs electric, water supply, drinking water, cars for sight seeing and impressive cleanliness. Superb experience, would love to go back their and want everyone to visit who love nature.

Just returned from an excellent 4 days trip to tandrabong. I must thank team Rucksack for finding such a beautiful place in the lap of nature. People who want stay in calm, pollution free, serene place along with view of snow capped mountain and lush green Forrest all around you, this is the best place as per me to stay. Though unfortunately we missed the mountain view due to dense cloud and fog. Still sure will enjoy it. Our homestay owner, the lepcha family were so good and friendly, u will surely miss then after returning back. Hospitality was great and foods are also good due to all organic vegetables they use to cook from their own farm. Must visit place from there for a day trip is aritar, mankhim, reshikhola and mulkharka. Overall it was a great experience and waiting to witness many more off beat destinations with team Rucksack.
Recently I have visited Milan Dara, a beautiful place at upper Pedong. I found 340 degree panoramic view with beautiful greenery, surrounding by Kanchanzangha range. We stayed in a home stay. We enjoyed mountain view from our room also. The balcony was marvelous. Hospitality of the Home stay owner was quite satisfactory. In short , the place is very peacefull, calm and ideal for taking rest for 2 days.

Review after Tendrabong visit. Monsoon beautified the hills like a God's Valley .. Homestay owners made us feel like we are the part of their family.. You may feel special hospitality which has no further intention... If you want to take a break and want to spend 2-3 days with out checking mails, fb notification, insta posts, this might be a good option for you. You can see the clouds sailings over the valley, you can only hear chirmp from birds and insects(mainly Cricket)..some morning prayers somewhere in the hill church might feel you holy in the morning... Thanks to Rucksack for finding a spot like this.
I will definitely give this place 5* . This place is very much close to Chilapata forest . If you stay in tent then you can enjoy your whole day watching the peacocks playing and singing just few meter away from you and nights can be very much adventurous. I stayed one night in tent and one night in log house . Tents are better than the log houses . You can enjoy bonfire . The food quality is just like your home. Food tastes awesome, ample space , very well behaved staffs . Very awesome place to hangout with your friends and family .
The experience was wonderful... The quaint simple cottage,essentially a farmhouse, nestled amidst the bounty of nature all around... and last but not the least the hostess mrs swapna rai was beyond awsome.... i gained a friend for life.... Most of the kitchen waste is recycled as compost in her organic farm and flower beds Any broken cycle/chair/other item is repurposed into decoration and flower pots It is solar powered All the food served is grown organically in their kitchen garden.... For animal lovers, there are 3 ducks, 5 rabbits and four adorable dogs and a shy cat for my company For party lovers, there is a nicely maintained swimming pool, for indoor loving/lazy persons there is an awsome collection of fictional/non fictional books, a chessboard. For bird watchers, many rare birds, magpies and drongos to be found Food is simple and nutritious and wholesome And for dreamers sitting on a rock near the rivulet, slowly watching clouds drifting through the mountains while old jazz music plays is enough(btw, there is a bluetooth speaker at ur disposal) jio and vodafone 4g works in full strength Bsnl does not Most of the cottage and its peripheries are made by didi herself and her loyal staff She draws influences from everything possible... game of thrones to ikea furniture I was fascinated by the ecofriendly commitments of the homestay....

I along with my friends got the opportunity to spend two days in the lap of mother nature. Thanks to Rucksack. We took our own cab and our destination was Tandrabong. At the time when we were approaching that place we felt a little bit uncomfortable as the place is very remote and the mobile network don't work very efficiently there. But after we got into that place we just got speechless. The soothing weather and the green surroundings took all the Hecks of our journey within a moment. Rooms were very clean, food was just like in our home and the hospitality of that Lepcha family never let us feel that we were out of our home.They took care of our all needs. It was a short but memorable journey and of course the first one with RUCKSACK. We are looking forward for more journeys in future with RUCKSACK. Thanks again. Keep up doing this fine job and let us help in exploring this type of beautiful places.
Just have a wonderful trip to Simanadara.Its so beautiful cannot explain in words.Impressed with the friendly attitude of all the staffs of the homestay.Arranged River trekking,Campfire with roasted Chicken,Made a special fish cuisine named Bamboo Fish with the local fish named Asala.It was so tasty.Will have a desire to visit the place one more time. Only one disadvantage I found is that the rooms are not so cozy. We told the homestay owner about it he gladly accepted it.They are very new in this tourism industry and are taking measures to improve it. Final verdict - If you love nature then no better place than Simanadara.Hospitality is awesome.
I have been fortunate enough to visit this Lepcha village near Kalimpong( Tandrabong) and returned yesterday with warm memories, awesome hospitality and very tasty home made food, fresh from the garden and cooked by the ladies in the homestay. My stay there for 3 days passed off like a dream.. snuggled into the dreamy lap of the mountain the bamboo cottages are but an abode in heaven. I was overwhelmed by the traditional welcoming ceremony by the people there and was served local tea( a fermented wheat concoction which soothes the tired limbs and warms one up during wintry chill). I wouldn’t mind visiting the place once again.

Beautiful location. A place for nature lovers. Huge number of rare and endogenous plants attracting varied species of avian and butterflies. The in-house restaurant serves good and healthy foods. 2 tree houses, 2 tower rooms, 2 Luxury tents. Best place to see wildlife.

Awesome is the word for me. The food , hospitality and most of all service is excellent. Ambience is too good you wake up in morning with the peacock calling. You can spend a whole day sitting in the balcony and watch the jungle and it's mesmerizing beauty.
You guys have put up nice very nice information and really unique destinations.
Now just returned back from Majua....stayed for 2 days....its such a beautiful place cant be described through words....people who really want to run away from this crowded & scheduled life must visit.... its a place where you can really feel yourself...Property & people around is very good & always at your service. Food is also good. Only the road from Manebhanjan to Majua approx 5km is very bad, tourists must choose a SUV with good ground clearance to reach. Those who love silence & Birds must go this place.
We wanted to stay in a quiet place among the nature and this was one of the best choice if you are also looking for this. We stayed in a tree house. It was very good. Sekhar da and Mr. Roshan and other staffs were helpful. Food was good. Enough Blankets were available as the place was cold during end of Jan. Only the road from Maneybhanjan to the village is terrible. All arrangements were nice. I will try to visit with my family again. Thanks Rucksack

Good Evening, We wanted to spend our year end in some decent place & hence approached Rucksack as we had heard all good things from others you had booked thro' them. We selected Chilapata Forest. We, 2 families, stayed 2 nights in Tree House & 1 night in Tent. Though we had travelled quite extensively, we have found this place to be excellent. Rooms were clean & the staff members were so helpful that we seldom see this in other place. We had found the bed linen to be clean & spotless. Food, prepared with fresh vegetables, were awesome. We had never stayed in a place which is so near to the forest-- you can cross the river which divides the buffer zone & the place where we stayed. We not heard calls of various animals but also seen deers, peacocks & other birds near the river, just a stone throw distance from the place where we stayed. Uff just mind blowing. It is definitely value for money. We had booked pick up. The driver, sent us details of the car to us one day in advance & hence was trip was headache less, what a relief. The jungle safari, which is organized by the WB Forest Dept also went off quite well. All activities were v well coordinated. Thank you Mr S Mondal. You deserve all the credits. This place is simply awesome. The kind of services they provide are really good. The people who serve you are really polite and helpful. Their foods are really delicious, always hot and fresh. Room are the best with best interior and restroom. I stayed there for 2 days and still i felt like stayed for years never felt homesick because people in those area, locals, are vety nice people. Overall I'll suggest it is best place crash for a while on your trip.
Nice place.I have visited.So quiet that u can't imagine. Hearing the sound of car engine,children can say from which village that car was coming.Only few car travel in the morning . worth revisiting.

A short visit to Kalikhola during pujo 2017 has left me & my family totally speechless. The effort Mr. Shekhar & his counterpart Mr.Karki `s family took is highly appreciated. The trip was well organised & coordinated. Applause to Rucksack & team. Now coming to Kalikhola any writing or updates about the place would be short of the feelings that we lived over there. The intensity of the dense forest the mysterious world far from human touch will intrigue us. One should visit the place to feel it. Never the less thanks again Rucksack for arranging the special permission from BSF for our permit to visit Bhutan ghat. The hospitality & love of Mr.Karki.so family will be cherished
Stayed there for 1 night and the entire experience was beyond amazing. A home stay and couple more native people's home in the middle of nowhere. Peaceful environment, beautiful view and on top of that the hospitality was amazing. A must visit place, specially for the people who loves to explore North Bengal.
All the stars are for the location and view. Bird watchers' paradise. Stuff not well trained but can't blame as they are local villagers trying to make a living. Electricity situation unpredictable and generator backup not dependable. Bring mosquito repellent creams, powerbank, flashlight etc. I have seen elephants from the balcony, you also may if you are lucky enough.
