Rucksack acts as a facilitator and merely provides an online platform to the Tourist(s) to select and book a particular hotel. Hotel in this context includes all categories of accommodations such as hotels, home-stays, bed and breakfast stays, farm-houses and any other alternate accommodations.
For confirmation of booking the Tourist(s) needs to pay 50% of the total booking amount in advance. The advance booking amount are payable through Online Payment / Cash Deposit / Cheque Deposit.
The Tourist(s) has to be in possession of a valid identity proof and address proof at the time of booking. Rucksack shall be within its rights to deny booking confirmation if a valid identity proof is not presented at the time of booking.
After reaching the schedule destination, the Tourist(s) has to pay the balance amount, and there will be no reconsideration of the scheduled tour and balance payment.
After confirming a booking, if any group member(s) gets increased, that member(s) will have to book the tour with the hiked fare that may come into effect.
Tour will be considered as unpaid cancellation if the due amount of 50% of the booking amount remains unpaid before one week of the scheduled tour date. Unpaid cancellation in this context includes the outstanding booking advanced amount that had not yet been settled and or the booking has not been confirmed by the tourist. Under this circumstances there will be no refund and/or further reschedule of the tour.
For security purposes, the Tourist(s) must provide Rucksack with correct credit or debit card details. Rucksack may cancel the booking at its sole discretion in case such bank or credit card details as provided by the Tourist(s) are found incorrect.
Some banks and card issuing companies charge their account holders a transaction fee when the card issuer and the merchant location (as defined by the card brand, e.g. Visa, MasterCard, American Express) are in different countries. If a Tourist has any questions about the fees or any exchange rate applied, they may contact their bank or the card issuing company through which payment was made.
It shall be the sole responsibility of the Tourist(s) to ensure they are in possession of valid travel documents such as identity proof, passport, visa (including transit visa) etc. to undertake the travel. Tourist(s) agrees that in case of inability to travel for not carrying valid travel documents, Rucksack shall in no way be held liable.
The Tourist(s) has to be in possession of a valid identity proof and address proof, at the time of check-in. The hotel shall be within its rights to deny check-in to a Tourist if a valid identity proof is not presented at the time of check-in.
The type of room and the number of room will be allotted to the guest depending on the availability if not pre-mentioned at the time of booking. After check-in the hotel there will be no changes of allocated room.
Check-in time, check-out time, and any changes in those timings, will be as per hotel policy & terms. Early check-in or late check-out request is subject to availability and the hotel may charge an additional fee for providing such services.
The Tourist(s) would be liable to make goods any damages caused by any act of him/ her/ or their accompanying guests (wilful/negligent) to the property of the hotel in any manner whatsoever. The extent and the amount of the damages caused would be determined by the concerned hotel. Rucksack would not, in any way, intervene in the same.
Unmarried or unrelated couples may not be allowed to check-in by some hotels as per their policies. Similarly, accommodation may be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at the time of check-in. Some hotels may also not allow local residents to check-in as guests. Rucksack will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reasons or any other reason not under the control of Rucksack. No refund would be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances.
Rucksack will not undertake any liability and responsibility towards any Loss / Damage of life and properties or any other belongings whatsoever of the Tourist(s), caused by any Accident / Theft / Robbery or any other happening during the tour.
The menus are pre-set for meals. Some items can be customised or changed depending on availability or possibility if pre mentioned to the hotel by the Tourist(s). Rucksack would not entertain a request for a special meal nor guarantees a special diet to the Tourist(s).
The booking amount paid by the Tourist(s) is only for stay at the hotel. Some bookings may include breakfast and/ or meals as confirmed at the time of booking. Any other services utilized by the Tourist(s) at the hotel, including laundry, room service, internet, telephone, extra food, drinks, beverages etc. shall be paid by the Tourist(s) directly to the hotel.
Tourist(s) shall bear the additional charges of any special meal if purchased by him/ her and shall not be entitled to recover the same from Rucksack.
Tourist(s) acknowledges that the hotels serve breakfast and/ or meals at different ( local) time or time. Tourist(s) understands that Hotels do not pack or room deliver breakfast and/ or meals. The meal has to be consumed when served. If the Tourist(s) misses breakfast and/ or meals due to any reason, no claim for the same shall be entertained.
Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods like Christmas, New Year's Eve or other festivals as decided by the hotel. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel. Rucksack will have no control over waiving the same.
Rucksack acts as a facilitator and merely arranges transportation to the hotel if pre-informed by the tourist(s). Rucksack will have no control over about Transportation Cost, Quality, and Condition.
Tour date might change or get cancelled due to Natural Calamity / Strike / Train / Bus / Flight Cancellation or any other Circumstances.
There will be no refund of advanced Booking / Token amount if any tour is cancelled on the mentioned Tour date due to Natural Calamity / Strike / Train / Bus / Flight Cancellation or any other Circumstances. In that case the tour date might be re-scheduled within next SIX Months from the pre-mentioned tour date subject to the availability of room.
If the tour is cancelled or postponed by the Tourist(s), in that case the tour can be re-scheduled within SIX Month from the pre-mentioned tour date according to the availability of room, if the Tourist(s) inform ONE Month prior from the scheduled tour date.
If any person(s) of a group Postpone / Release himself or herself / The tour partly cancelled from the schedule tour/cancelled or postponed tour in that case His or Her advance paid amount will be deposited as the WALLET, If notified ONE Month prior from the scheduled tour date. The WALLET amount can be use as Advance Deposit Amount/ Token Amount for the further trip.
While rescheduling the tour if there is any increase of fare hike, the Tourist(s) have to pay the hiked amount that will come into effect for both hotel and car. There will be no adjustment/refund of advance paid booking amount if the number of person(s) decrease. Room allocation will be the same as previous, unless the number of person(s) changes.
Refunds, if any, will always be processed to the respective account or the banking instrument (credit card, debit card, bank account, wallet etc.) from which payment was made for that booking. It will take 7-10 working days from the refund initiated date. Please note that the refunds are dependent on external agencies such as Bank, Payment Gateways.
All the information pertaining to the hotel including the category of the hotel, images, room type, amenities and facilities available at the hotel are as per the information provided by the hotel to Rucksack. This information is for reference only. Any discrepancy that may exist between the website pictures / informations and actual settings of the hotel shall be raised by the Tourist(s) with the hotel directly, and shall be resolved between the Tourist(s) and hotel. Rucksack will have no responsibility in that process of resolution, and shall not take any liability for such discrepancies.
Booking(s) made by the Tourist(s) through Rucksack are subject to the applicable cancellation policy as set out on the booking page or as communicated to the customers in writing.
Some accommodation suppliers may require Tourist(s) and/or the other persons, on behalf of whom the booking is made, to present a credit card or cash deposit upon check-in to cover additional expenses that may be incurred during their stay. Such deposit is unrelated to any payment received by Rucksack and solely at the behest of the Hotel.
There will be no adjustment of booking price if the tariff rate gets Increased / Decreased after booking confirmation.
Any increase in the Hotel tariff / Fuel charges / Taxes, which may come into effect, prior to the arrival will lead to an increase in the tour price. Any difference in the price will be payable by the tourist.
